Dear Colleague,

The educational needs of mentees, mentors, and mentors-in-training are enormous. A subject of debate is: is there a dearth of resources to meet those needs or simply a lack of awareness about many excellent programs? This year, MedEdMentoring will be at the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry and the American Geriatrics Society annual meetings exhibiting how many of your colleagues are finding, accessing and integrating NIMH-supported resources into their day-to-day work, career, and education.

First on the agenda is the AAGP in early March. In addition to a poster presentation and an exhibit booth, MedEdMentoring will host a symposium entitled "Using Modern Technology to Support a Career in Geriatric Mental Health Research." The presenters are Stephen J. Bartels, MD, MS; Martha L. Bruce, PhD, MPH; Enid Light, PhD; and Brian Shanahan. If you're planning to be in New Orleans, be sure to stop by and say hello! We’ll also have a Free Tools and Resources package available at the booth. We look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,
Stephen J. Bartels, MD, MS; Martha L. Bruce, PhD, MPH; Maureen Halpain, MS; Barry D. Lebowitz, PhD;
Charles F. Reynolds III, MD; Gwenn Smith, PhD; Joel E. Streim, MD; Jürgen Unützer, MD, MPH, MA
